About the shop:
Some Stitches was launched just this year (2021!) as a curated selection of goodies for modern fiber folk. This shop is located on Cowlitz land in the historic Merk Building at 1339 Commerce Ave, Suite 105A in Longview, Washington.
We pride ourselves on offering ethical, organic fabrics. We love color, local makers, small businesses and not taking ourselves too seriously. The sewing community is a wonderful place and we're happy to be a part of it!
A little about the owner:
I'm Katelyn, the proprietress. I'm a mother, a hairstylist, a needlewoman and the one-woman show behind this operation. I love to sew, knit, crochet, embroider, and cross-stitch! I've been crocheting the longest (since about age 10), which I've always enjoyed, but I finally got familiar with my real love, garment sewing, in late 2018 and have never looked back!
I love sarcasm, sweary things, bright colors and human rights, don't you? Here in my hometown I've never been able to source quality garment fabric and just decided it was time to change that and take the leap and do something I've often thought about - become a haberdasher!
I love ALL of the fiber arts and engaging in these hobbies/crafts/arts has brought such joy to my life that I want to pass it on to others.
Let's be friends.
